Personal Statement:

 

I am hardworking, enjoy having responsibilities at work and like to be proud of any end product that I may help to produce.  I am happy to work individually or as part of a team but I would rather work on my own initiative.  I am very capable of meeting targets and deadlines, especially when under pressure to do so.

 

 Work Experience:

 ·         2000 – Current: Bellwater Ltd, Epsom, Surrey.

Drawing office assistant in a busy and fast growing company working within the telecommunications sector.  My main responsibilities involve the registering of incoming and outgoing CAD drawings, both electronic (e-mail) and hard copies.  I am also responsible for alterations on CAD drawings and other Microsoft Applications such as Project, PowerPoint and Visio.

·         1999 - 2000: Stanford’s Map and Travel Bookshop, London.

Manager of a Stanford’s concession, inside the British Airways building.  I was responsible for a small team of people and the day to day general running of the branch.  I was also responsible for buying and returning stock and meeting Company Reps. As a team we regularly reached company targets for sales

·         1998 -1999: HMV UK, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Working in a busy stock room, as a Christmas temp, processing stock and dealing with customer telephone enquiries, using a computer database.  I was in charge of the stock processing for the post Christmas campaign.  Also shop floor work, at the weekends, involving serving customers and helping them with enquiries. 

·         1995 -1997: Tesco’s Superstore, Burgess Hill.

Weekend and evening cashier at busy superstore which included training for lottery machines.

 Other Activities:

 

·         April 2001: After six months training completed the London Marathon.

·         October 1998, 1999 and 2000: Great North Run, completed the half marathon after training for six months.

·         April 1998: Week long field trip to Alnmouth in Northumberland.  Each group surveyed an area and then produced a scale plan of the area surveyed, using teamwork and various surveying skills.

·         Currently:  Play Cricket for St.Andrews in Burgess Hill on both Saturdays and Sundays.  I am also the club’s Fixture Secretary and help with the coaching of the youth section.

·        Weekly:  Play squash and football at the local leisure centre.
