Bid preparation service for a Satellite product Storage and distribution system in an island in Indonesia. This include an offshore wet berth for tanker mooring, a 16 in dia sub-sea pipeline, 3 km long to onshore tank farm, upgrade of the tank farm, construction of another satellite depot comprising 9 product storage tanks of each 10,000 kls capacity, two onshore product pipelines of 16 in and 8 in dia each 26 km long, truck loading system at the satellite depot, SCADA system for the pipeline operation, custody transfer facilities and associated infrastructures.
Basic designs for an onshore/offshore natural gas collection and transportation pipeline to carry 182 MMCFD natural gas in Indonesia, through laying of 14 in trunk pipeline, 52 km long of which 28 km will be offshore under 52 m water linking south Sumatra with north Java. The system having 5 collection Headers and two Compressor stations with 7420 Kw compressor power and associated SCADA and custody transfer system for gas movement, control and sale.
Turnkey supply of 3 Trains of Air Cooled Heat Exchanger packages for an offshore Gas development project in Malaysia.
Detailed engineering for inlet air cooling systems (CITIAC) for several Gas Turbine Power plants in this region owned by State Power companies and private IPPs, for increase of power from G.Ts.

Handled EPC project involving design, fabrication and erection of process plant structures and modules for oil and gas field construction and process plants.
A major project handled included a number of skid mounted process plant modules for crude oil handling, separation, wastewater treatment gas dehydration, compression, crude storage and offloading systems, gas injection, power generation through GT and waste heat recovery systems for installation on a FPSO vessel of 150,000 BOPD processing capacity and 1.8 MMBPD storage capacity for Brazil Oil Co, PETROBRAS for deployment in 900 m water offshore Marlim field in the Campos Basin. The system involved about 1400 T of steel structures for 9 nos large PCB skids (Each 18mx30m-140 T), 140 T(7120 dia-in) process pipings of sizes 1/2 in through 28 in, various types of vessels and equipment weighing about 3500 T, about 280 pcs of Electrical, instrumentation and control valves and other accessories requiring about 580,000 Man-hour construction labour input, over a period of 9 months.
Achieved timely completion through detailed level-5 planning ,coordination and sub-contracting
About 9% savings on budgeted costs through outsourcing of various project activities

Iran Power Plant Projects Management Co. Tehran. Iran. Dec 97 to Apr 98
Worked as Senior Project Manager ,handling pre-construction engineering activities for constructing six Combined Cycle Power plants at various locations, of total capacity 2300 MW . Each plant comprised modules of two G.T Gens, producing 260 MW power at 10.5 Kv, supplying waste heat to two HRSGs(Boilers) producing superheated steam in two stages of 300 TPH, 82 Bars, 490 deg C HP stage and 70 TPH, 19 Bars at 230 deg C, IP stage feeding the combined steam to a single Steam Turbine Generator producing 103 MW power at 10.5 kV, stepped up by Gen-Transformers to 132 kV, 230 kV and 400 kV at the stations for interconnecting to the National Grid.
This included preparation of plant layouts, review and approval of Consultants designs and specifications, preparation of BOM and tender packages for EPC and Island execution by contractors, evaluation of various bids, technical discussions with vendors, preparation of work breakdown up to Level 5 for implementation and monitoring and laying down various QA/QC programs during the construction phase. Awarded about 60 % of the major contract packages to international and local contractors.

Assigned as a Quality Control Consultant, handling preparation of QA/QC plans and their implementation at the vendors shops and construction sites in India in connection with major expansion of Primary Aluminium Smelter and Rolling mill plant located in India. The facilities included two 15 T capacity each Aluminium Melting-Holding furnaces with associated compressed air, fuel oil and hydraulic manouvering systems, piping, structures and installation of mechanical equipment, integrating the facilities and certifying acceptance. Also preparation of various shop production and site construction activity reports for Client and Consultants.

Worked for their oil, gas , power and process plant projects in the Gulf countries related to EPC project consultancy. Major projects included design of surface production facilities for In-situ Combustion projects in two onshore oilfields in Gujarat in India, for EOR of heavy crude oil, some facilities of a 6 MMTY capacity oil refinery in Central India and rehabilitation of railway bridge in India. The In-situ Combustion project involved construction of 3 trains of compressed air at 125 Bars and 3 Trains of treated water injection facilities at 112 Bars with associated storage, treatment of water, sulphuric acid injection and high pressure multiplex plunger pumps and pipings, manifolds etc. The refinery facilities included an offshore SBM for mooring of crude importing tankers, a sub-sea pipeline, an onshore crude oil tank farm(COT) of 2 MMBBL cpapcity, a 960 km long x 24 in dia crude transportation pipeline with 5 Pump Stations from COT to the refinery site with SCADA system, a 60 MW captive power plant, a 7 MGD Water treatment and supply plant and a township for 40,000 residents. Another project included upgrade of plant piping and installation of equipment for expansion of plant capacity of Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd in India.

Associate Consultant for services in marine engineering consultancy for ports and harbours, ship yards, SBM and preparation of feasibility reports, EIA studies for new construction and liaison with Maritime Authorities on various technical matters. Major projects included engineering of facilities for LNG evacuation from tankers, storage and regasification at Vizag Outer harbour in India, feasibility of a ship repair yard at Haldia port in India, upgrade of ship repair yard at Calcutta port including construction of a wet berth for vessels upto 25000 DWT, setting up of container cargo handling equipment at No 11 Berth, Haldia port and upgrade of offshore platforms and rig structures for offshore drilling in Bay of Bengal, India.

This is an Oil Company having onshore and offshore operations for oil and gas, LPG and NGL production ,processing, storage and transportation to refineries. It owns and operates a 16 inch diam x 1200 km long crude oil pipeline (longest in Asia), having 9 Pumping and 17 Repeater Stations for feeding crude oil to four refineries of 6 MMT aggregate capacity.
The work included planning and implementation of various new field development, upgrade, turnaround and major shutdown maintenance programs of the production facilities, involving review and approval of Consultants and vendors designs, preparation of various tender packages for execution by vendors, project planning, scheduling and monitoring, interfacing with Statutory Authorities for securing operating and environmental clearances and generation of MIS reports on the field operation and project execution .Also preparation of CAPEX and OPEX budgets to meet the production targets.

Management of turnkey contracts involving design, fabrication, erection of steel structures, cladding, piping, pressure vessels and equipment for oil, gas, process and other industrial plants in the Gulf countries for major oil companies like ADNOC, ADMA-OPCO,ADCO,ZADCO of Abu Dhabi, DPC and ARCO of Dubai, QGPC of Qatar, PETROMIN and ARAMCO of Saudi Arabia. This was a new grass-root iron and steel plant of 1.3 Million ton per annum capacity in the D.R plant-EAF route. The main facilities included D.R plant, Steel Melting Shops, various Rolling mills, a 420 MW captive Power plant, a 21,000 cum/day Desalination plant, a 700 km long 18 inch natural gas pipeline from gas field to the plant, a Captive port to handle bulk vessels up to 80,000 DWT, a 2000 TPH and 5 km long Raw Material Handling Plant from port to plant and a township for 50,000 residents. The work involved review of Consultants designs and specifications, preparation of tender packages, contractor short listing, technical negotiations and preparation of Master Control Network for project execution and award of the major contracts to international bidders.
