not anticipated the extent of the changes recommended and were
unwilling to accept their implementation.

national clients.

& Partners, a subsidiary shop fitting company of Bovis. Despite
severe commercial restructuring and stronger disciplines it proved
impossible to continue to trade the company and a decision was
taken to close the company’s operations both in the UK
and overseas. The company was dormatised and a £6 million investment
returned to the group.

for Bovis Construction Ltd., responsible for all divisional finance
and commercial affairs, working with the divisional managing director
on a turnover of £355 million covering retail, commercial and
industrial projects. Also had commercial responsibility for the
Scottish Regional office. Became responsible for the amalgamation
of two major divisions of Bovis to facilitate continued profitability
in a difficult construction market. Further restructuring of Bovis
UK into Bovis Europe involved the
combining of two major divisions of Bovis. These were established
as a grouping of individual business centres handling major national
accounts (M&S, Tesco, LUL, Railtrack, Safeway).
